Woodborne pride ourselves on our 'in frame' design and where possible use FSC certified products which are obtained from sustainable sources. The team has a wealth of experience in kitchen design, building and installation.
We offer a complete kitchen fitting service. Not only do we hand build our solid wood kitchen units at our local workshop, but our fully inclusive service includes the installation of top quality granite, wooden worktops and appliances from some of the best names in the business. Carcasses are manufactured from 26mm solid pine board and to aid our craftsmen in manufacture, we use a computerised CNC machine to accurately prepare the timber. The carcases are then assembled in the traditional way.
Whilst most kitchen doors tend to be produced to a standard thickness of between 18 and 22mm, Woodborne's framed kitchen doors comprise 32mm of solid tulipwood. You will find that extra thickness makes quite a difference to the feel and solidity of the finished unit. The 32mm doors and drawer fronts are fitted to the carcases by our skilled cabinet makers, using solid brass or stainless steel butt hinges and quality German made 'self closing' runners.
No MDF or Chipboard is used in the manufacture of our kitchens.
The pull outs and wire baskets are of equal quality and are currently imported from Italy. Each unit is then individually lacquered internally and primed externally, before being assembled for final inspection and delivery to the client.
You are very welcome to call in at our our fully fitted studio and the factory in Mid Sussex. Here you will see a computerised machine accurately cutting the 26mm thick solid pine board used to make the carcasses. The skilled craftsmen then assemble the units and fit the 32mm thick doors in the same time honoured traditional way.
